ProjectsHi, I’m Paul. I am a software developer with a strong foundation in adaptability, leadership, and aligning team goals. Throughout my career, I’ve consistently leveraged software to improve workflows and solve problems. As a music and technology teacher, I demonstrated adaptability by using Google products to create engaging instructional aids tailored to diverse learning needs. While working as a store manager in a new country, I showcased leadership by mentoring team members and taught myself to code database queries, streamlining inventorying store products and aligning team efforts. Upon returning to the U.S., I embraced a growth mindset by completing the Cleveland Codes program at Cuyahoga Community College gaining several programming certifications. I was also invited back by the program leads to contribute to the rewrite of the Help Is Here app, a resource focused on mental health and suicide prevention awareness. I’m excited to bring my creativity, curiosity, and technical skills to a role where I can build innovative tools that enhance people’s lives and foster collaboration within teams.
Collaborated with a team of four to redesign and redevelop the "Help Is Here" app for Cuyahoga Community College, a platform offering mental health resources, suicide prevention tools, and coping strategies. Utilized React Native with the Expo framework to create the app, which has been successfully deployed on Android. Key contributions included coding app styles, developing components, implementing navigation, and designing visual assets such as app icon, splash screen, and header.
